Many celebrities including regional have self- quarantined themselves to curb the spread of Coronavirus. They are even urging their followers to stay at home and take all safety measures. National-award winner Srijit Mukherji who has just returned from South Africa also shared the news of being self- quarantined. The director was in South Africa for the shooting of his next film Kakababur Protyaborton. The film stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aryann Bhowmik in the lead role.
Srijit Mukherji shared a picture on Instagram with a mask and even penned down a message, “Due to the Corona outbreak and ensuing travel restrictions, had to come back a day earlier from the South Africa shoot of #KakababurProtyaborton. But since thanks to the incredibly concerted effort of the Indian and South African teams we were ahead of the schedule by roughly one and a half days, we could wrap up the shoot comfortably! Now for 14 days of a home quarantine as India enters the most crucial phase of the outbreak where individual cases spreads to the community. This is the phase from where Italy spiralled into a dystopian horror film where one of the most advance health care systems in Europe is being forced to choose whom to save. We will have to see this through together, by not being together for sometime.”
As the government mandate, anyone who travelled abroad to the virus-affected countries has to go through a self-imposed quarantine to protect themselves and people them from any possible infections of the coronavirus.
